I came across yoga twenty years ago while looking for an antidote to a stressful job. The powerful flowing exercise, the linking of breath to movement and the focus of the poses helped me to be present in the moment.. It had a profound affect on me. Of course - the fact I got a flat stomach probably had an even more profound effect!

Now I love teaching this wonderful discipline to anyone, whatever age or ability, but especially beginners because understanding the basics is such a revelation.....

I do go on a bit about the core as it is the foundation of every single yoga pose . I always show correct alignment to prevent strain. There is always a  plan but  I like to tailor the class to what people need on that day.  The main thing is to have fun, feel good, and let the yoga work it's magic on sore shoulders and slouchy postures!

My Teacher training began with The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course. I went on to train with the Power Yoga Company to gain my  Yoga Alliance Certificate. That was just the start. I then took an anatomy intensive with Judy Gudmestadt, studied alignment and assisting with Stewart Gilchrist, and then several more assist trainings at Jiva Mukti, Indaba, Lumi Power, Baptiste Three day and lately with my inspirational teacher Durga Devi. I studied more about the Baptist way of teaching under the unique guidance of Ari and Elina at Lumi Power Yoga during a four day teaching intensive (where I surprisingly learned to talk louder, talk less, and dance....they are the best!)

I have studied Ayurveda in India, Reiki to level 11, Theta healing, and worked with energy healing students and masters in Peru. I keep an open yet questioning mind.

I am BWY and Yoga Alliance trained and have YA200h Tracher Training qualification.
